Skip Freeman has been involved with the sport of volleyball as a player and coach for nearly 30 years. He started coaching with USVBA club teams in 1995. In the past decade or so he has been a director of two different clubs in both Oklahoma and Texas. As a coach he has qualified numerous teams to the GJNC, winning several qualifier championships and medals. Here are a few of the places he has coached recently.
- Coaching Director- Oklahoma Charge (2005-2007)
- Coached the top 15’s and 17’s teams. Led both teams to the regional runner-up finishes. Helped train coaches and players throughout the entire club in his time there.

- Oklahoma Regional Volleyball Association, (2007 – 2008)
- Junior Representative, Junior Olympic Volleyball Division (2007 – 2008)
- Elected Head Volleyball Coach (2007)
- U.S. Women’s Sitting Paralympics Team, Assistant Coach, (2007)
- Worked two training camps with the team including a joint training camp with The Netherlands Paralympic team.
- Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Women’s Volleyball Head Coach, (2007 – 2009)
- Guided the Savage Storm to the two best seasons in school history, setting school records for most wins in a season that still stand today.
- Led five players to All-Conference selections, including two first team selections and 2008 Freshman of the Year, Lunden Azuara.
- LoneStar Volleyball Club, Club Director (2009-2016)
- Personally coached ten different teams that qualified for nationals.
- In each of his last three seasons with the club, he coached two teams that both have qualified in the Open Division at nationals.
- Won three National Qualifiers and two NTR Regional Championships.
- Coached every age group in the club from 11’s to 18’s
- Led all aspects of training for players and coaches throughout the club.
- Dozens of his players went on to the next level to play in college, including every senior that was on his final 18 EP team.
- Coach of 2017 GJNC American Champions
- 3rd place of 2017 Jeep Volleyball Championship in Puerto Rico (18s)
