Having grown up in El Paso Texas as a two sport athlete playing both baseball and basketball Sceley was always on the lookout for sports activities following college. Shortly after moving to the Dallas area in 1999 Sceley became involved with sand volleyball leagues and fell in love with the sport. Since 2001 Sceley has played indoor on various men’s USAV teams, but most often can be found playing doubles on the sand. In 2010 he was an assistant coach at Brown University and has coached in the North Texas region for a total of 15 years.
