Allison Andrews

Coach Allison brings over 10 years of coaching experience and a well-rounded background in both club and school volleyball. Originally from California, she began her coaching career working with USA Volleyball rec leagues, Beaumont Volleyball Club, and 951 Volleyball Club, coaching athletes ages 11–16 and even spending a season with middle school boys. After moving to Texas, she joined Arsenal Volleyball Club in its inaugural year and helped build the program before stepping away during COVID to focus on family and career.

During her time away, Allison got engaged, married, and started her family, while also working a “big girl job.” She later returned to coaching at Grapevine Faith and eased back into club volleyball with EMV (14 Metro) before rejoining Arsenal for the 2025–2026 season.

As a player, Allison started volleyball at age 10—initially just to help her older sister practice—and quickly fell in love with the game. She was a four-year varsity athlete in high school and continued playing at Mt. San Jacinto College before finishing her collegiate career at Bacone College. She played multiple positions throughout her career, including setter, outside/right-side hitter, and libero, giving her a strong, well-rounded understanding of the game.

Allison is known for her patience, authenticity, and ability to connect with her athletes. She values respect and equality within her teams and takes pride in building players up rather than breaking them down. Her coaching style focuses on bringing athletes together, especially during tough moments, and fostering a team-first mindset.

One of her favorite coaching experiences is watching athletes have that “light bulb moment”—when everything they’ve been working on finally clicks. She also values creating competitive, selfless teams and building positive, drama-free environments with supportive families.

Outside of volleyball, Allison holds an Associate’s degree in Social and Behavioral Science and is a stay-at-home mom to her 2-year-old daughter, with a baby boy on the way. Her family is incredibly supportive of her coaching journey and can often be found cheering on the sidelines. Together, they enjoy staying active, being outdoors, and going on adventures.
