Javier Davis

Javier began his coaching journey in March 2026 as an Assistant Coach for Dallas Arsenal Volleyball Club. With more than 30 years of experience as both a setter and opposite hitter, his volleyball career began in high school, where he competed in regional and national interscholastic tournaments. A native of Bogotá, Javier had the honor of representing his city on both the youth and junior selection teams.

His collegiate volleyball career was supported through an athletic scholarship to Universidad Militar Nueva Granada, where he competed in national university tournaments for five consecutive years. Javier also gained international playing experience in Argentina, competing for Club Comunicaciones in the Metropolitan League during the 2014 and 2015 seasons.

In his recent role as an assistant coach, Javier focused heavily on floor leadership and athlete development. Using his background as a setter, he mentored players in improving their situational awareness, decision-making, and ability to read opposing defenses more effectively. He is deeply passionate about teaching and sharing his experiences as both a player and educator, with the goal of instilling a competitive, winning mindset in athletes that is firmly rooted in mutual respect.

Javier earned his Law degree from Universidad Militar Nueva Granada in Bogotá, Colombia. He later continued his education in Argentina, graduating from Universidad Nacional de San Martín with a degree in Audiovisual Communication and a specialization in Sports Journalism. Outside of volleyball, Javier works as a bilingual warehouse associate specializing in shipping and receiving operations.
